Workplace Consulting/Training
Tami has years of experience in managing programs, departments and companies. Her management philosophy is ...."I believe in a participatory management style, with the understanding that, when needed, the ultimate decision-making, and responsibility is that of the supervisor. I take pride in involving staff in program planning, thus developing a commitment to program implementation. I have always had high, but achievable expectations for myself and for staff. I believe this attitude creates a challenging and fulfilling environment."
Many organizations are now providing coaching for employees at the workplace. Tami has a certificate in coaching from ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). She can provide individual coaching, executive coaching, team coaching or organizational development coaching.
Using the DISC Personality Profile, Tami works within the organization to improve lives, increase interpersonal relationships, improve work productivity, create positive teamwork and enhance communication.
"I try to remember that people- good, intelligent, capable people - may actually need day to day praise and thanks for the job they do. I try to remember to get up out of my chair, turn off my computer, go sit or stand next to them and see what they’re doing, ask about the challenges, find out if they need additional help, offer that help if possible, and most of all, tell them in all honesty that what they are doing is important; to me, to the company and to our customers”"
John Ball, Service Training Manager, American Honda Motor Company
The following programs are just a sampling of what Tami can bring to your workplace. Need something different? Call us and let us design a program specific to your organization!
Why People Resist Change
Change is the dirtiest six letter word in our language. We all think that change is good, if the other guy has to do it - not us!!!!
Tami presents challenges for change, discusses why most people are resistant to change and how to implement change. She will have you laughing at your own resistance and provide skills to implement changes successfully.
The Value of Performance Reviews
Performance reviews are the formal means to communicate with employees on their success, their challenges and expectations for the upcoming period. Tami will discuss with supervisors how this process can be stress free for both the supervisor and the employee with on-going performance communication and documentation.

How to Get People to Trust You
"Trust me..."
This line is one that makes us smile or scowl.
Do you remember when an adult stood in the swimming pool and said “Trust Me …I’ll catch you.”? For some of us it was easy to jump, that adult had earned our trust and we knew we would be caught; for some of us we weren’t going to jump until someone else did and we saw them being caught; and then some of us, well we still don’t jump in.
Trust is something that has to be developed and earned. It isn’t easy!
This presentation will discuss practices to develop trust and further discuss earning trust. We will also talk about when trust has been broken, how to begin the process again.

Attitude Affects Your Altitude
"If you think you can or
you can't
you are probably right"
~Eleanor Rosevelt~
My husband has a shirt that says “Latitude affects Attitude”.
This is true for us, the further south we go on family vacations, the better our attitudes get. What about the workplace? Is your attitude not allowing you to increase your altitude? Is ‘the other guy’ always getting the promotion? We will discuss how attitude can affect individual's latitude; as well as what supervisors can do to affect employee's attitude.
Gender Communication
Some say men and women are from different planets. This isn't true, but we do communicate differently. This lively 2 - 4 hour presentation can highlight some communication differences; and concentrate on how to keep communication open between both genders.
